TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

1.   Entry details form part of the terms and conditions of entry. Participation in the competition is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions. Entries not completed in accordance with these terms and conditions are ineligible.

2.   Entry price of the competition is $20.00 per paper plate and is open to Australian residents aged 18 years and over. (Children’s names can be entered with parent/guardian permission). Unlimited entries allowed.

3.   St Patrick’s Primary School and the IFF Committee (“the Promoter”) accepts no responsibility for any late attendance issues that prohibit the entrant from participating in the event at the time and place specified.  There will be no refund of entry fee due to the entrant not being able to attend at the specified time or place of the competition.

4. The Promoter will not replace lost/damaged plates, nor refund entry fee for lost/damaged plates. Once issued plates are the sole responsibility of the Entrant.

5. To position the plate on the school oval entrants must be behind the barriers of the oval at 2:10pm. When instructed to do so by the Promoter the Entrant must place their plate on the grass surface within the defined perimeter and weigh it down with the sand bag supplied. Plate positioning should take no more than 10 minutes. Entrants must then return behind the barrier when instructed to do so by the Promoter before the Leprechaun Launch will take place. Any plates placed outside the barrier that defines the perimeter of the event will be deemed invalid and will not be eligible to win the prize money.

6.   Entrants are encouraged to place plates down in an orderly manner to avoid jostling or collision with other Entrants. Entrants must not touch, move, walk on or kick any other entrant’s plate. Please be courteous and mindful of others.

7.   The Promoter will not be responsible for plates that move as a consequence of wind or any other factors.

8.   The Promoter may at its absolute discretion prohibit an entrant’s participation in this Promotion, cancel or suspend a prize or cease to provide any prize to a winner if the entrant or winner (or any companion) is (in the Promoter’s opinion) under the influence of alcohol or drugs, behaves aggressively or disruptively, or behaves in a manner which may diminish the good name and reputation of the Promoter or is contrary to law or is otherwise inappropriate.

9.   Entrants must be behind the barrier before the toy leprechaun is released. Entrants must NOT go onto the oval after the toy leprechaun has been launched until the judges decision has been made and the Promoter gives permission to do so.

10. If the toy leprechaun released for the launch lands on or closest to an entrant’s plate they will be deemed the winner. In the event that the soft toy leprechaun should fall onto more than one plate the prize money will be divided EQUALLY between the entrants with the corresponding plate numbers, regardless of the percentage of coverage the leprechaun has over one particular plate.

11. In the event that the leprechaun does not land on any plate, the judges will measure the plate in closest proximity to the leprechaun. This plate will be deemed the winner.

12. The total prize value is AUD $1,000 cash. Prize is valued in Australian dollars.

13. The winner/s will be announced directly after the launch and subsequent decision made by the judges.

14. The winner/s (or their authorised representative/s) must be in attendance immediately after the launch on the day and place of the competition in order to claim their prize.

15. Should the toy leprechaun, once released for the launch, land outside the barrier set up to define the perimeter of the event, the Launch shall be classified invalid and void. In such case another toy leprechaun will be released until such time that one falls within the designated boundaries.

16. The judges’ decision is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.

17. The  Promoter reserves the right to require the winner to provide proof of identification and/or proof of residency or address details in order to claim the prize. Proof of identification, residency and address considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of the Promoter. If a winner cannot provide suitable proof, the winner will forfeit the prize in whole.

18.  The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entry that, in the opinion of the Promoter, does not comply with these Terms and Conditions. The Promoter also reserves the right to, in its sole discretion, disqualify any entrant whom the Promoter believes has tampered with the entry process or has engaged in conduct in relation to the Competition that the Promoter believes to be fraudulent, misleading, deceptive or generally damaging to the goodwill of the Promoter. 19.  If  requested by the Promoter, entrants and winners must participate in all promotional activity (such as publicity and photography) surrounding this Promotion or their winning of a prize, free of charge, and they consent to the Promoter using their name and image in promotional material.

20. If for any reason any aspect of this Promotion does not or is not capable of running as planned and which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Promotion, the Promoter may in its sole discretion cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion, or invalidate any affected entries.
